People reset their algos on legacy social media thinking it solves the problem—that all the targeted content will just disappear. But the algorithms are thinking: “We’ve got your number. We know what hooks you, and it’s only a matter of time before we reel you back in. But sure, let’s pretend we’re starting fresh!” It’s like asking a casino to pretend you’re not a regular, then sitting down at the same slot machine that cleaned you out before!
