GitHub is starting to get weaponised. I'm mirroring every github repo I use or have on my radar for potential use to my own gitea server. Works like a charm. View quoted note →

Europe is imprisoning inconvenient people to shut them up, just like the US did to Assange. View quoted note →

For a long time, I was annoyed that nostrudel does not correctly pick up and show likes. Then I discovered it is just a matter of me clicking a button. Then I realised it is better not to 😄

The biggest strategic gain for the US from instigating the Ukraine war is it drove a wedge between Europe and Russia. It is also the biggest loss for Europe. Now Europe is increasingly irrelevant.

Trump tells the UK they need to repeal hate speech laws to get a tariff deal. That must be humiliating lol - you'd expect that kind of conditions when dealing with some third world dictatorship. But that is where free speech is in the UK - in the drain.

A couple of months ago I set up DNS filtering for our home network using and the pro.txt list specifically. Did it with the full expectation that it will cause issues and I will have to dedicate some time to fixing those for the family as everyone is online a lot. In fact it has not caused a single thing we use to stop working, except regularly causing various things to log failures to track. Some site tries to redirect me to ads, they fail to load. VSCode tries to send stats (?) to Microsoft and logs error in reaching it (but keeps working). All sorts of Windows and Apple tracking gets nuked too, about 1 in 5 dns requests gets killed in a sample of about 8 million requests. Loving it!
