Today I managed to find a few minutes to set up an uptime-kuma instance that I'll use to provide real time status of relay.nostss.re . Almost nothing compared to the info you can find on nostr.watch, but hey, that's always a valuable something !

La fin de l'année approche et avec vient celui du bilan de cette année sur #nostr J'ai l'impression d'avoir fait si peu et pourtant mon bilan perso n'est pas nul : - création d'un outil de réplication de flux RSS avec #nostrss plutôt propre. - mise a disposition d'une trentaine de flux francophones. - création du relai wss://relay.nostrss.re - mise en place de monitoring du relai avec partage de mes widgets - migration de SQLite a postgresql pour le dit relai - création d'un outil de validation pour les relais tournant sur #nostr-rs-relay (dispo sur GitHub mais pas encore complètement finalisé) J'aurais tellement aimé fournir plus à la communauté, et j'espère pouvoir le faire l'an prochain. Je voudrais finaliser mon outil de validation, produire un beau dashboard grafana complet a la commu, rajouter de nouveaux flux, explorer plus en détails nostr-markets et commencer à construire du layout pour nostr côté front. Et toi #nostrfr, quel bilan tires-tu de cette année sur #nostr ? #letempsdubilan

Finally ! I finally managed to start building some time series overviews of nostr-rs-relay with postgresql on Grafana. This definitely requires some work and isn't trivial, but i hope it will be worth it at the time i start playing with de/serialization of the JSON data. I've taken notes on the process i had to follow and will try to share some kind of a tutorial in the next days #nostr #relay #monitoring

Postgresql upgraded. wss://relay.nostrss.re is back online : https://nostr.watch/relay/relay.nostrss.re The #relay database can now enjoy timescaledb extension.

Nostrss instance will be kept up, so don't worry, your feed will still be flooded with #france tags 😎 ( #nostrfr ftw )

Shutting down relay.nostrss.re relay for maintenance. I will upgrade postgres version, hoping to be able to connect it to grafana using timescaledb extensions. I'll share updates once done. Wish me luck ! 🫂

After investigating : nostr-rs-relay has differences in the database structure beetween sqlite and postgresql :/ Thus, migrating data will require a bit more work than expected

nostrss.re has been down this night as i migrated the database from SQLite to postgresql. Had to rollback. nostr-rs-relay seems to have hard time with postgresql unfortunately 😟
