Really enjoying writing haikus lately. Here’s one from last night. Early autumn storm / sweet with ashes and moondust / you appear in dreams.

Genuine question: why does Gen Z, especially teenagers, talk like they’re actual retards (excuse my use of that word, there’s no other way I can describe this)? I could drive over to the poorest and most illiterate part of LA and still hear speech that sounds more human than I would on a high school campus. Pathetic, concerning, and a bit tragic.

1. Rather than focusing entirely on the pain of being hurt and broken, take some time to heal the sense of mistrust in yourself from finding out how wrong your judgment may have been in trusting or caring for the person/people who hurt you. That often brings peace and reinstates the confidence in yourself from before. 2. Forgiveness comes from unabashed gratitude. When you’re thankful for your source of pain because it brought you something that, although ugly, contributed to your personal/spiritual/emotional advancement, it’s easier to not hold the grudge and resentment like it’s a hand. Forget the offense, forgive life, find peace. 3. Find something else to love and love it wholeheartedly. The world is violent but it is also fleeting. Spend your time loving, whether it be a person, a place, a hobby, or thing. We live in a perpetually burning house and the only thing that saves us in the end is devoted love. View quoted note →

You keep nurturing your love of wealth, status, and beauty while your soul rots inside you.
