If someone asks me why I’m in Bitcoin. It’s because I got a check from my boss as a bonus and it takes ‘working days’ to clear the account.
With Bitcoin I know how the money is moving when I make a payment. In the traditional system of commerce the money is thrown into a void and you are given platitudes of payments on a screen.
You need to find what is real in your life, and what false. Keep your selves real.

Bro whaaaaa! Ride or die!
Hal Finney's journey with Bitcoin began in the late 1990s when he started developing encryption technology as part of the cypherpunk movement. This group of activists aimed to create secure and private communication channels through cryptography. In this context, Hal developed a program called "RPoW" (Reusable Proof of Work), which was an early precursor to Bitcoin's blockchain technology. RPoW used proof-of-work algorithms to prevent double-spending in digital cash systems, laying the groundwork for Satoshi Nakamoto's invention.
On January 10, 2009, Hal Finney received the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto himself. This marked a historic moment in cryptocurrency history and solidified Hal's status as one of the foremost experts on digital cash systems. Throughout his career, Hal continued to contribute to the development of Bitcoin by providing valuable insights, code reviews, and suggestions for improvements to the protocol.
In addition to his work on Bitcoin, Hal Finney was also known for his contributions to other projects in the field of cryptography and computer security. He developed a secure email system called "Pretty Good Privacy" (PGP) and worked on various encryption algorithms that aimed to protect users' privacy online. His dedication to these causes earned him respect among his peers, many of whom remembered him as a brilliant mind with a deep passion for technology and its potential to change the world.
Hal Finney was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2009, which eventually led to his death on August 28, 2014. Despite his deteriorating health, Hal continued to participate in online discussions about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, leaving a lasting legacy within the community. His early involvement with the technology and his technical expertise played a crucial role in shaping its development over the years, making him an essential figure in the history of digital cash systems.
