Happy to be here with you all

Notes (19)

Friday morning. Holding my two week old son. Badass wife enjoying a morning walk. Bitcoin at all time high. God is Great and life is good.

God blessed my wife and I with a son one week ago. George is the most special gift we have ever received. God is Good! image image image

I’m very hesitant to place any sort of trust in Trump. But a big part of me feels like last night is going to be our only major action in Iran. I could be completely wrong and soon as tonight and I’m ready to eat my words. But I’m choosing optimism today.

Democrats had the largest W of all time fall into their laps last week with the Trump/Musk breakup. Then they burned LA to the ground and now somehow their positioning is even worse.

We’ve all said “I would feel so fucked if I didn’t have bitcoin.” Re: Trump vs. Elon crash out over Big, Beautiful Bill - I have never felt so strongly how fucked I would feel if I didn’t have bitcoin.

My wife is an ICU nurse. I’m not exaggerating when I say I would bet that no less than 50% of her patients are: 1. So morbidly obese/unhealthy there is zero quality life after hospital. 2. Absolutely mentally fucking insane. 3. The most rude pieces of shit you can possibly imagine (I guess sort of fits in with #2). Can you imagine how much money we spend as a country keeping these people alive? And for what? I know this is not very Christ-like of me, and for that I’m truly sorry. But we are a nation teetering on the edge of desperation; financially and spiritually. I just felt the need to post this and get feedback.

The first episode of my new podcast, The Mid MO Show, with John Ruth. John is a fellow bitcoiner and a good buddy of mine. John is Co-Founder and CEO of Build Asset Management. Build is an investment manager in the fixed income space, and one fund in particular blends private credit and bitcoin. https://fountain.fm/episode/cW2zMnFVKfytqCZY83RJ

My wife sent this to me and I’m really glad I’m not the only one who can relate. image

I wrote my parents a one-page note for their anniversary coming up. Highly recommend. Therapeutic for me, and I think they will keep this in a safe place to look back on forever.

What you do with your personal property is completely your decision. But I’m getting incredibly bothered by people that rent houses in traditional, historic neighborhoods. Rented houses objectively deteriorate neighborhoods. Renting houses creates artificial scarcity in real estate. Just fucking buy bitcoin and let people buy their first home.

Starting a podcast focused on business owners and politicians in my city (Jefferson City; Missouri’s capital). Recording first episode on Monday after months of procrastination. I have mics, headphones, a Scarlet 2i2 interface. What do I need to do or know before I dive in?

I’m kind of bummed Trump paused the tariffs. I was truly enjoying the market carnage. The Millennials and Gen Zers upset about their 401(k) decreasing just don’t understand anything. We need entry points after markets have gone vertical since 2008. I finally thought we were going to have a sustained period of time to enter.

Just another day of remaining hopeful that young, smart, profitable humans adopt bitcoin as their escape hatch.
