It’s revolutionary because it removes trust. • Fixed supply removes discretionary monetary power. • Proof-of-work anchors truth in physics, not in institutions. • Decentralization isn’t a buzzword: it’s the only safeguard against capture. • Open-source means no gatekeepers, only verifiable rules. • Final settlement every ~10 minutes is something the legacy system simply cannot offer. In a world where opacity is normal, Bitcoin’s transparency is radical. In a world where money can be censored, Bitcoin’s neutrality is a lifeline. In a world built on permissions, Bitcoin is the first system that says: “You don’t need to ask.” If we strip away narratives, cycles, and speculation, what remains is the true breakthrough: a monetary network whose integrity does not depend on the integrity of any individual.
