What's the ultimate "motivator", why are you doing what you doing?
Recently my motivation is not external. I'm not doing it for anyone, I don't want to appeal to masses. I'm not sacrificing anything for particular person (I guess having a child could be one great, everyday motivation factor. Having a husband or partner in general could work the same).
I'm not doing g it even for myself recently, for any selfish reason, to cleanse body, or to look better (and fasting can help to look younger like almost nothing else).
I'm only doing fasting at the moment (Sunday: 36h) because I gave the word. I promised this.
I said and I'll be fasting till 9 am morning.
And then world can crumble again.
---------
Do I realised also that if my main motivation is not external, it's not ibternal again anymore either... it must be a God.
Word=God.
Something higher.
And funny enough, it's not love (because I love God... it's not that because I was rebel for so long and love can be selfish...). I realised it's THE WORD.
-------
I'm not saying, don't get me wrong: all of thus above motivations, all of these factors are good if your life is improving.
I'm just trying to be objective.
And introspective.
Becoming more perceptive
:)
-------
So what's motivates you?
--------
That's it,
Ciao.

Scarcity is the king: green tea.
I just want to share this:
For the few months (for the reasons I prefer not to mention) I have been drinking only the cheapest black tea.
I love green tea by the way and when I finally bought green tea (also the cheapest available) it tasted so nice, I was happy to finally have a green tea.
Recently I bought proper green tea, properly packed, so fresh, proper leaves and even it got something in it (pieces of mango or whatever that was
Aaaand it was amazing: the flavour, the taste. I guess more nutrients in it too: just everything.
But I drink it so much, practically speaking all the time and what I noticed is that I "forgot" how good it is.
It strikes me.
Something so wonderful, proper green tea, became just a tea.
So what I'm going to do is this: I'm back to black tea, or no tea at all and I'll be back in a few days to my green tea...
It's going to be great experience again.
(Same with food. People. Places. I guess.)
P.S. yes, I had 2 days off on green tea, today's morning I had one and again - what a flavour wow. Again that green tea bring me back to "now" to something "fresh".
(Limitations are good).
That's it.
Ciao.
Note No.7
About the GOAT that fasted for 40 days.
I'm just sharing his IG profile for the description. I found it really an accurate way to describe fasting:
"...my hunger is for something greater".
My God, I couldn't describe it better.
This is what is "activated" during the fasting.
(I'm aware some people got it naturally, this drive, focus, ability to eat in small portion, being all 100% involved in task, relationship etc.)
Hunger for something greater...
I just wanted to add one thing if I may ๐- that this hunger forces us in some way TO LEARN HOW to manage it and where to channel it.
What I mean by that, for example: to be creative and productive instead of angry... what I'm focusing at during that time? (It's something I'm learning since recently only to be honest...)
where I'm paying my attention to... (because I'll pay anyway.๐)
Again it keep coming back to getting things done.
And have that focus.
Ok, that's it.

How much I fast, how much fasting is "recommended"?
Now I'm thinking I should have better notes, in some cute notepad to show you - in aesthetic way - my fasting calendar, but instead you've got handwritten notes from my phone ๐
Anyway that's October 24': lots of 24h, lots above that.
November 24':
December was similar. Broke my record 4 days.
January this year - 5 days.
Feb. March. - a lot too but I've chilled down a bit.
And April:
No matter how I always track it.
My goal is to simplify this and just eat once a day, 24h fast everyday, that it.
Although for many it's a lot, there are Russian healers (why are they always from Russia?๐
) who recommends you more than that.
For example Mr. Michail Tombak.
He's saying for optimal health include fasting to your calendar as follow:
- once a week: 36 hours (for example: no food for Sunday till Monday morning)
- once a month: 48h to 72h (pick one weekend and add Saturday and fast the whole weekend)
- once a year: 3 to 7 days (extend it even more, be crazy, see how far you can go, be better than anyone you know etc.etc.:)))
I'd say this: we can always stretch and
do 4 days in each half of the year.
Or 5 days in first half of the day.
And 7 in the second half of the year...
Or as you wish :)
(Disclaimer: this is not medical advice! 5 to 7 days fasting must include preparations and previous experience, be cautious and gentle with your body).

Test and two approaches.
During the fasting.many tests will come along
Or you will be testing yourself subconsciously because fasting can be, simply speaking - very uncomfortable.
During this test what I notice is this.
2 ways of behaviour or approaches that occurred to me. I'm sharing it like it would be confession, I can't be even more straightforward. This is what I have in my diary:
- you can break your fast because "external event".
Blame someone something... (it's because of XYZ)
- but if something good is happening: "use" it also as an excuse, use that external event to loose yourself... and then propably you'll be back to old self because you couldn't maintain good moment that occurred because of your elevated mood/spirit whatever you want to call it.
This is what had been happening to me.
Blaming had been showing me my trigger moments and using someone where I was afraid to go further...
Either way it's us.
This moment when you're actually happy, you're seeing everything can be better, you can have different, better life...and maintaining it, maintaining discipline - I'd say that's more difficult.
The old is known, the new, good one is unknown. And even if its good, people (me included) usually are afraid of it.
But again
And again
It's a journey:) ๐
So that's my note in fasting Diary.
Observe, take notes yourself and be strong.
Lady in red
Yesterday wasn't my day when it comes to intermittent fasting. I broke too fast and then lady in red (from the Matrix movie) appeared and caught me completely. It wasn't even about sugar or carbohydrates, it was just my favourite food. Simple thing like green bean (wax bean) with breadcrumbs. And after it comes another favourite food I thought would give me some quick relief and another and my day was gone. I done nothing.
But who is lady in red? You remember for sure from the Matrix.
It can be many definitions, meanings you can attach to that character. In your life she can represent X and for someone else she can mean Y.
The way I see it in a regards to food is this:
Its quick pleasure and looking for a relief while eating.
Lady in red is like mistress luring you into quick romance when your lovely wife is waiting you at home. You love your wife, you really do, she's amazing but that lady in red doesn't want you to stay humble (and stack sats:)) and leave some of the food on the plate untouched so you can feel you're in control of yourself, your surroundings and important stuff, no, she's calling you to eat everything because its tasty, take another dessert, then another because (one hundred excuses here)... and your wife is waiting at home... you get late because you stayed in the restaurant for too long and she's annoyed, your evening date is gone and from one situation to another and you know...
Better would be to say to the lady in red- haha you think you can do that? Listen sweetie I have an date with my wife, I gotta go. Stand up (for yourself) literally stand up and leave that plate, leave her and go to your wife/another task/to the gym/things you have to do and for things that has to be done.
I don't blame lady in red, she's always there, as I said before: its a journey, and learning. For people who wasn't trained from the childhood it can be challenging but for sure there will be better and worse days.
Yesterday wasn'tmy day but I know I'm heading into better days now.
Have a great day all.
(Be faithful to your wifes ๐๐)
Cheers.

How to avoid hedonistic sirens when eating?
That can be controversial if you've never practice it (or maybe rather weird) but there's one trick you can try to apply.
Or maybe its your everyday practice and you won't be surprised:)
It can apply to trying to leave sugar, that next dessert or just got control.
I found it first time when I was a waitress
(I was waitress few times) in a really nice place. Cool and nice - it wasn't very posh place, but the food was better than in most places, honestly, good place.
What I noticed is that people left some piece of food untouched.
They haven't eaten sometimes half of the plate.
Weird for you or something so obvious that you're wondering why am I writing about it?
(Curious your opinion on that - comment if you'd find few minutes).
2 things here:
- most of my life I had no clue I was under "sirens" spells. Just few years I'd say I'm learning and I see the difference. After some point it gets disgusting, ego is blowing.
- this kind of eating can help us with information overload. There's really many depression and anxiety and people are wondering why. Everyone is in their phone instead of looking real connection.
Eating slowly, stopping at right time, leaving some food on the plate allows us to let go, be in control, slow down, appreciate food more and be more independent (detach).
Probably your focus will increase despite the diet you are on - vegetarian, keto, paleo...
And as always try yourself...
Let me know how things are going
and see you later.
