I'm an Orthodox Christian ☦️ Technical writer and author by day, writer of bad code by night. #animestr Attempting to write a novel live on nostr, #bondsOfTime Speaking English natively, 日本語ペラペラ, und ich bin Deutsch Anfänger
OK hear me out, I want a client that allows you to react on reactions. Please nostr please. Yes it's retarded, no it makes no sense, but it's hilarious and I want it so bad! Don't make me code it
Three souls, ripped from the threads of time by an impossible truck, become unwilling players in a game of survival. Marcus Valerius Maximus, a Roman engineer perfecting aqueduct designs, finds his ordered world shattered. Shao Cheng, a Tang dynasty slave girl fleeing unspeakable horrors, discovers salvation in the strangest form. Qi Jingsen, a Martian revolutionary whose force fields can stop relativistic bullets, meets his match in an antiquated vehicle that shouldn't exist. All three awaken in modern Tokyo, prisoners of the Driver; a figure whose casual ownership of impossible technology hints at resources that dwarf even the planetary governments Qi is familiar with. Forced to perform for his clients' entertainment, they must navigate a world of chaos while grappling with concepts of freedom that transcend their original understanding. As the unlikely trio bonds over shared displacement and growing rebellion, they uncover the Driver's true game: an empire that spans further than most can imagine. But their captor has been playing this game far longer than civilizations have existed, and his next move will determine whether they become legends of resistance, or cautionary tales lost to time. Genre: Isekai, Science Fiction Thriller with Historical Elements. #animestr View quoted note →
So I have an idea for something fun to do or nostr. I will be writing a novel right here a nostr; every week I will post a new part - at least 150 words. I will be posting one additional part behind a paywall, behind a paywall for 150 sats, to keep with the 150 theme and that would be one part ahead of what's available here. And as a fun game every 1500 sats triggers an additional 150 words, (up to 1500, because otherwise it's too much.) If for any reason, I miss a part any week, I will be zapping twice of my previous weeks' earning to someone, picked by the readers! The genre of the novel will be fantasy/sci-fi; for those familiar with anime culture the word "Isekai" will make sense to you, but expect a spin that you've never seen before. I will be writing in English primarily; but eventually once I get to a full novel, I will be doing a full translation in Japanese. I will be writing a synopsis shortly. How does that idea sound, nostr?
I just watched BAAN: 大人の彊界 (anime written by anituber gigguk) The art-style and the animation were good, the voice actors did a decent job (don't be winning any awards but solid performance), and I enjoyed the world he has built. But I'm a bit disappointed, not gonna lie. I understand that he probably had significant budget limitations, but it felt too rushed, too much happened at the same time, and simultaneously very little happened. 18 minutes wasn't enough time for me to be invested in any of the characters, the main characters Rin and Daichi have very any development (this is why the 3 episode rule exists). I think of this were a 90 minutes movie, or a multi episode show, I would have seriously enjoyed it, I reckon. The heart is there, no doubt about it; as is the world building, the writing is good, if it were serialized I'd buy the series. But the whole package is maybe a 6/10, which is disappointing because it could have been a 9/10. #animestr
was looking at the BOLT specs, I'm in way over my head; I think one needs to be a real developer to understand this stuff
