Did a bunch of #animestr related stuff today. I'm having so much fun building this. I wish I could do this only, but I have to mine fiat. It's now much faster which was the biggest issue. Now the biggest problem is just rate limiting from the anilist api but I have an idea in mind for that once it becomes a bigger problem in the future. Now we get profiles, connections (follows & followers), text events, likes and replies! I would say that I'm 2.5/10 on my list, but I didn't build any UI yet, so maybe let's say 1.25/10. So the next step is to build a simple ui for what I already have, and maybe fix one more issue, then moving to the fun stuff: watch lists - [x] Status - Watch lists (duh), with an activity feed - [x] Follows - Zaps - Forum - [-] Sync with Anilist (2 way, if possible, otherwise 1 way - sync into the 'str) - Profile customization like in anilist - Stats - Reviews - Some way to sync shows maybe query information from anidb?

I think i have the solution to my slowness problem, I'm publishing events to relays inefficiently, and treating the relays as an external api I write to, but instead I can put the notes into a local database that a relay would read and write to. Then the user would spread the notes to all their other relays themselves through gossip protocol. I need to do some writing, but I think I'll try this idea this evening, I bet it will make it significantly faster.

@calle I'm trying to understand cashu. I'm not a cryptographer and I will sound stupid. Could something be devised where a cashu token is minted for an in-app credit, and then the token can he transferred to anyone, but can't be melted back to lightning, can only be used in app? I have a specific use case in mind, but it's not ready to share with the world

How is it 10pm already? I have made some good progress with Animestr today. Status updates and profiles are synched from anilist. Every anilist user is now a nostr user. Well, the better wording is that they can be a nostr user once I finish implementing all functionality
