I almost gave myself a new noshole, not to be confused with @Noshole
My 10 month old son will sometimes put his open mouth over my nose as his version of play eating.
Well, this time be was above my head as I was laying down and he tipped to the side as he did so he scratched my nose with his teeth, which hurt, but that's not where the extra noshole came from!
As he tipped, I quickly moved my hands towards him to catch him and reduce the pain, but instead I accidentally somehow got my own thumbnail into one of my nostrils and almost gave it a 2nd entrance ππ₯΄π
I'm fine, my son's fine, and he did it to me again a few seconds later from a better angle where he didn't tip from, but I still felt a bit of his sharp teeth π

Aah, my leg still hurts where I sliced a layer of skin of when my hubby said there were people at our door on Friday as I was walking in that direction and I threw myself back towards the bedroom and cut myself on something π
Turned out Jehovah's witnesses had found our place, but they left before we got to the door and left a pamphlet. Not worth it!
You know that dude that discovered gravity?
Well, my son is only 10 months old and he's been exploring gravity lately. If they were born at the same time, I think my son would have won in the gravity discovery π€£π€£π€£
Here's a key to a happy connected marriage that I realize not everyone is aware is possible:
If I ever find myself getting caught on thinking negatively about my husband or thinking how I could have responded after an uncomfortable conversation with my husband, I say "No", because I refuse to engage in those thoughts.
If there is something I actually need to bring up, I've probably already done it, or my husband caught himself and already apologized and I forgave him!
So, any such thoughts are not Gods thoughts, nor are they productive and loving thoughts, so I stop them and I choose to think about the good things, how amazing my husband is, or how grateful I am that I got him as MY husband!
Happy 250 years!!!!!

Saw a bumper sticker that read, "Do you follow Jesus this close?" And I was tempted to run up and get into their vehicle and say, "no I follow him THIS close" π
π€£
Though they may not have appreciated it. The car also looked full and I wouldn't want to sit in some random persons lap π₯΄
Said goodbye to our sons grandparents today.
Words cannot express how extremely grateful I am to them and all they did this past month!
In such a horrid experience, their generosity and willingness to drop everything and drive 2 states over, bail us out and our son in until we could get him back. Letting me come over all day, every day, for 3 weeks when my hubby couldn't see our son, and taking over the night shift so I could still go home with my hubby, and even caring for him when others had given him amoxicillin that caused him extreme tummy pain for a couple of nights.
I'm not even sure I fully understand just how blessed we are for their sacrifice!
They did get to bond with our son and though they were ready to leave, they had a hard time saying goodbye to him, cause he brought them so much joy (once the tummy ache was gone!)
After the absolute worst moment of my life, when I wasn't sure I'd ever get to see my son again, they thought of me and figured out how to get me their number so I was able to find out that they were on their way, hubby had called them and they went into action and applied for temporary custody and were coming for us as well!
I was never even in trouble with my parents growing up, so that whole event was just so surreal.
So, even though in a way I'm glad to see them leave, I also feel sad to see them leave. And forever grateful for all they did!
Our son turned 10 months old today! π€―πΆ
Yesterday my husband got him to stand and balance all on his own for about 5 seconds!
He's really good at balancing on his knees but still prefers to grab one of our fingers in each hand when he wants to go for a walk, which is very often! π₯°
His 5th tooth just pierced through and I think the 6th is also on its ways down.
He eats anything he is offered, and he eats a lot!
His favorite toy is a little teal toy car.
He recently started babbling sounds that sound like words.
We love him so much! And anyone who meets him is so impressed at how quiet and happy he is.
Despite everything that's happened the last month, he still loves people and only cries when something is actually wrong, like tired, hungry, poopy diaper... or soon to be poopy diaper π
Happy 10 months of seeing the world, my treasure! My precision son!
As the USA is approaching 250 years, I'm reminded how the two cities next to where I grew up in the North of Sweden have both celebrated 400 years as cities a few years ago.
In their current locations they've been for over 350 years, but Sweden is still rising after the last ice age, so the harbors in the original locations got too shallow in one town and a devastating fire instigated the move of the other town.
Today was a good day!
Took our son to church for a dinner and a bible study tonight.
He loved crawling around and exploring everything and even got a hold of someone's fingers and took them for a walk π€£ (she was in on it and looked really happy about it!) Some girl with younger siblings apparently asked my husband if she could hold him and he said yes so she picked him up. I didn't see it cause it happened in a different room while I was eating.
Oh and when we came home I totally wondered what we should have for dinner and then I remembered we already ate it π€£π
Today started by our son waking up after 5 and then didn't go back to sleep after eating, so he napped earlier than usual, but I finally managed to do the "sleep whole the baby sleeps", so I got two naps today and it was great!
Our son was wearing a long sleeved onesie and pants overnight cause he tends to kick off his blanket and we're experiencing a wonderful "cold front" (only 90f during the days π
but in the 60s at night)
well, this morning when I changed his diaper, I was still really tired, so now he's dressed like a super hero π
What, no, it's totally not because I forgot to close the onesie and too tired to undo the pants, so I closed the onesie over the pants instead.
It's ONLY because he's awesome like a super hero *cough *cough π

Today is my husband's birthday!
@LeviJohnson.net you are my favorite!
We went to a steakhouse with my in-laws, and my father-in-law and I took turns feeding our son bread and potatoes (we all kept our meat to ourselves π)
Then we all went for ice cream. It was really nice!
I just asked our son where he was going as he crawled away from me and it sounded like he said "dada" π€―π₯³
Today is my husband's birthday, so that was really fun!
