A lecture by my favorite biologist, Michael Levin, about his (cybernetic) theory of aging. The ship of Theseus is not really the physical ship, but the plan of the ship that exists in the minds of the workers. It starts to age and degrade when the workers forget the plan or drop the goal of maintaining the ship. Lifespan (and healthspan) extension could happen by reminding your tissues about their purpose.

Today I realized that I still haven't posted anything by Tigran Hamasyan and it's high time to fix this. A genius-level jazz pianist, heavily influenced by both his native Armenian music and prog metal (think Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders), he's creating intricate-but-still-catchy rhythmic tapestries can make your head spin while still staying headbangable. Cool shit, you should go through his full discography - it's a gold mine!

@Bitcoin FilmFest was great and all, but the coolest thing that happened is that I realized the word "popcorn" sounds like "cock porn". Feel free to make use of this amazing fact whenever someone says "popcorn" in your presence. Highly recommend shouting "COCK PORN" to their face. Tried this on my wife (multiple times) and it was the funniest shit ever. I guess I stopped maturing after the age of 12 and have been only growing since then.

At @Bitcoin FilmFest a panel took place where the participants discussed the role AI will play in the future of art. One of them mentioned that it might enable aspiring artists who don't possess the necessary skills to express the art that they have inside them. Inspired by that, I thought that I should share what I did a while ago with digital painting and Nano Banana. I started drawing an image that had come to my mind, but quickly realized that I won't have the time or energy to build up adequate artistic skills required to finish the piece. So I fed a half-baked sketch into Gemini, gave it some color samples and here's what happened. I'm also sharing the initial sketch, so that you might get the feeling of the tool's capabilities.
