💖Today, I hosted a flour tortilla class. I've been wanting to try this for a while now, so I started organizing it last month. I've made tortillas and hosted countless times in our home, but this time would be different because I would be teaching.
While I didn't have all the details sorted, I guided the class in a nurturing manner, much like how I normally make tortillas on my own, but with more detail. I took the time to explain why I make each decision & showed each one how to do the steps then let them continue on their own.
I asked people on my Instagram, and 36 said they would be interested. Only 7 confirmed, and eventually, 3 showed up.
I didn't want to charge; instead, I told the ladies they could tip whatever value they felt they received to cover the cost of ingredients. #V4V
Hosting this kind of event was such a fun experience. Combining friends and food in a learning environment was truly gratifying. I'm grateful that I took the leap and went for it.
