Quick thought: If governments try to push a law that negatively affects people but it will not go into effect for another 1, 2 or 3 years, brainwashed high time preference people will not fight against it, will not protest...as they will be too busy, too focused on their immediate needs. Fiat money creates negative feedback loop by increasing time preference of people, effectively turning everything into shit.
