I'll never forget the time when I asked the governor of the Czech National Bank why 2% inflation is considered good. He responded by saying that there is no need to reinvent the wheel. All developed countries target 2% inflation and it's what all textbooks recommend. I was stunned by his response. It was a blatant example of not thinking for himself and blindly following rules, even if they lead to his own downfall. I lost all the hope and respect for people running my country.

I've got a call from scammer today. Said I have 3.5 bitcoins in their Blockchain investment company from 7 years ago. (And the only way to retrieve it was to re-deposit 0.035 BTC to unlock my account) I let him speak for minutes to waste as much of his time as I could. Then I finally asked him how's his sleep. Considering he fills his days with scamming people... He hung up. To be expected. Sad story.

I'd be depressed 15 years ago. Now I'm in peace and with popcorn 🍿 ready.
