Due to decades of selective abortions. Many rural men who do blue collar work will never get married. They are to low on the social ladder for any woman to accept. Cheap Rural blue collar workers are how China managed to grow so much the last 30 years. So they must have access to women to prevent them revolting or becoming less productive.
