Just received this information from the GetAlby support team: It's not possible to send sats from your account to a Bitcoin address yet, but we're actively working on it. In the meantime, you can use a swapping service like to swap Bitcoin on Lightning to an onchain BTC address.
How to Create an Anonymous Email Account Published by Michael Fischer To protect your internet privacy, an anonymous email account is obligatory. If you are lucky, you may possess an old email account without user data requirements. If you do only have email accounts with user data, stop using them and create an anonymous email account instead. We recommend Protonmail based in Switzerland: Proton Mail (previously written as ProtonMail) is an end-to-end encrypted email service founded in 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland.[5] It uses client-side encryption to protect email content and user data before they are sent to Proton Mail servers, unlike other common email providers such as Gmail and Outlook.com.[6] The service can be accessed through a webmail client, the Tor network, or dedicated iOS and Android apps.[7] Source: ProtonMail, (last visited Apr. 2, 2023). The good thing about Protonmail is that you can access it via the Tor network. To start the registration progress, open The Onion Router (TOR browser). Do not maximize your TOR window so that nobody can read your real screen size. To hide your real language and region, set your computer language to English. To visit the Protonmail onion site, copy and paste this address into your TOR browser or click the link below: https://account.protonmailrmez3lotccipshtkleegetolb73fuirgj7r4o4vfu7ozyd.onion The Protonmail account website opens: Protonmail account website. To create a new account, click Create account. The Create your Proton Account window opens: Create your Proton Account window. Protonmail offers two different email domains: *.proton.me and *.protonmail.com We recommend to use *.protonmail.com as .com addresses are well-known around the world. To select *.protonmail.com, click the arrow down symbol and pick @protonmail.com. Enter your username, for example John Doe. Make sure that your username is not your real name or another identity in real life. Create your Proton Account window with Username John.Doe filled in. Enter your password and repeat it. Click Create account. If your desired username is already used, a warning message will pop up: Create your Proton Account window with warning message. Try another username and click Create account. Create your Proton Account window with Username John.Doe1983 filled in. The more specific you become in your username, the more data you publish about yourself. If you use your birthday written backwards (e.g. 26.12.1983), make sure that it is not your real birthday: Create your Proton Account window with Username John.Doe19831226 filled in. The confirmation window opens: Confirmation window with Free plan choice. To use the free account, click Continue with Free. The Verification window opens: Verification window with Email and SMS method. Important note! Protonmail continuously changes the Verification method. You are searching for the verification method via captcha. If the captcha method is not offered in the verification method, abort the signup process immediately by closing the TOR window! Another verification window you do NOT want to use: Verification window with SMS and Manual method. Clicking Manual does not help anything to stay anonymous: Verification window with Manual method. Request an invite leads you to the Protonmail support website which will not help you to create an anonymous account. Important note! Please do always remember that you want to create an anonymous account. Do not compromise on your privacy and add a telephone number or email address with KYC data. Make a break, be patient, take your time and think about a good user name that does not reveal anything of your real identity. But please remember, if you want to use Twitter, a “real” name is better than an imaginary username like “Iloveprivacy” etc. After 2 hours, 1 day, or a week start the registration process again with a new TOR browser identity. Rinse and repeat until the Captcha confirmation method pops up: Verification window with Captcha and Email method. This is the verification method your are looking for. Click I am human. The Captcha window opens: Captcha window. If you cannot solve the Captcha, a new Captcha window opens: Captcha window 2. After you successfully solved the Captcha, the confirmation window opens: Protonmail confirmation window. Enter your desired Display name in Display name and click Next. The Recovery window opens: Protonmail Recovery window. Do NOT enter any data and click Maybe later. A warning message pops up: Protonmail warning message. Click Confirm. Your new, anonymous Protonmail account is being created. After that, the welcome window opens. Protonmail welcome window. You have now successfully created an anonymous email account. Explore Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton VPN using the icons and arrows. Support PrivacyAndSafety My name is Michael Fischer. I speak English, Spanish, German, and French. Hey everybody! You may not know it, but there’s an entire Wiki site maintained by bitcoiners dating all the way back to April, 2010. It recently marked its 13th birthday. It’s got lots of rabbit holes to go down, like FAQs, explanations of the principles of bitcoin, why it exists and plenty more. Take a look, and then maybe bookmark it. Enjoy!
This is what I am doing: I collect information on my bookmark page privacyandsafety.wordpress.com/bookmarks I write posts about PrivacyAndSafety: privacyandsafety.wordpress.com/blog-archive
Welcome Hello world, this is my first blog post. My name is Michael Fischer and this is PrivacyAndSafety, my personal blog about privacy and safety on the internet. I like to learn what others have to say about privacy and safety. How come that we are ending up with Nostr? It is the year 2023 and many dystopias of Nineteen Eighty-Four, the dystopian novel written by George Orwell in June, 1949 have become true. Many people around the globe do not trust in their government or their institutions any more. Something broke, especially in the West, where democracy and the rule of law was regarded as an esteemed value throughout western societies. Julian Assange, Wikileaks, Edward Snowden, and others presented the truth to broad masses of people willing to read or search the internet. Now, more than 10 years later, it is clear that the rulers of this world will not stop their mass surveillance of innocent citizens. This is why I created my PrivacyAndSafety blog, I want to share as much information as possible how people can protect themselves at all times from the prying eyes of governments, institutions, and big tech companies. Privacy is a fundamental human right as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Every internet user should know how to protect his privacy at all times. What about Safety? I raised my children in a neighborhood where we literally left the door of our car open during the whole night. Nobody ever stole anything from us. Safety is when you can live in a home and sleep well every night without any fear to get robbed or stabbed by an intruder. Fear of a militant mob, robbers, and murderers do not contribute to a feeling of safety. This is why it is so important to build a base in a peaceful neighborhood where your soul can come to a rest. Depending on your personality, you build your social contacts around you, for example in your neighborhood. I for my part also like the internet as a source of information and social media to interact with others. The solution is not “shut down your computer” but to learn how to access the internet without fear to be bullyied, or censored, or persecuted for free speech. I invite you to follow me on the channels listed below on our mission to a free and safe and equal internet for every human being in this world. Note: this PrivacyAndSafety blog is still under construction. I publish in parallel on WordPress.com and on Substack.com. I like the automatic connection between WordPress and Twitter and Substack and Notes, respectively. My favourite channel is Nostr, a censorship-resistant social media protocol. Please create your account and follow me there. Support PrivacyAndSafety My name is Michael Fischer. I speak English, Spanish, German, and French.
