"online safety" act is not something unseen before, really - it's an extension of what started happening back in 1990s - government turning the internet into a perfect tool for dragnet surveillance. their hands hold the infrastructure i used to broadcast this message and you used to receive it, no matter which country you live in. the systems they continuously build are watching every blip of electricity that appears on the networks they control. and i hope you don't think that something will magically happen and rescue all of us from the doom they bring upon us - unless you do something to save yourself and whoever and whatever you care about, you are inevitably going to fall victim to their predatory practices. we are all in the same boat here, no matter what you do online - goon to fagslop, shitposting, just talking to other people or actually working on something. the internet is a place we come to - and some live in - for information, and information holds no value if it's not being used by anyone at all. government secrets and furry porn hold the same, null value if nobody can see them. and we, humans, have information flow as an integral part of our existence. our nerves deliver electric pulses, just like ethernet cables do. inside of our brain there are myriads of neurons constantly firing at each other, processing the information in capacity enormous enough to sustain intelligence. the internet is an extension of ourselves, looking just like the neural network in our heads if scaled out. it is the collective consciousness of all the people who use it, and perhaps the very soul of the humanity itself. so if you do not yet understand why this is important, i will spell it out for you: THEY WANT OUR VERY SOUL. so i beg of you - the world, the people of the wired, my fellow network dwellers, silent watchers and just the passerbys - please do something to save what can be saved. archive, share, host - do what you can toyour most capacity. the walls are closing in really hard this time, i can already hear their narratives ringing in my ears, their boots of oppression at the doorstep of my mind. the wired world we live in is being invaded, once again, by faceless entities that have proclaimed themselves the judge, jury and executioner. i am writing this being absolutely exhausted and airborne - i barely had any sleep in the past two weeks. if this comes off as non-sensical or even immature - so be it. but i cannot contain my sorrow for the world and wrath for those who trample upon it. ANYTHING HELPS. if you know your way around scraping tools - download entire discographies, movie series, shows, anime, libraries, fucking softcore shit if you're into that. if you have some spare hard drives or even a few gigabytes to chip in for the world - archive and store, preserve in best possible quality, catalog, index and cathegorize. if you can allocate some uplink bandwidth of your ISP connection - share. seed, host a public FTP/HTTP server for files, set up seedboxes, create clusters of them, set up peering, synchronization and deduplication if possible, and connect with other people. when oppression becomes law, resistance becomes duty.
