Hot take incoming (for this audience anyway): I’m a crypto skeptic. Not opposed to it per se, but as a practical matter, I don’t think it’ll ever gain widespread use. There are so many scams out there that make it a risky choice as a currency, and an even worse choice as an investment. I believe unregulated markets are highly prone to manipulation. I say this as someone who started mining in 2009 and whose contributed to bitcoin core.

Hey @jack or other #bluesky and #atprotocol folks, how are the personal data repositories going to be kept in sync? Presumably, they’d be used by multiple clients in the network, I could imagine potential “merge conflicts,” unless they’re accessing the same instance of the repository? That seems prone to race conditions and other inconsistencies.

I think this'll be unpopular, because everyone always hates UI changes and because I generally have terrible taste, but I really like the "New UI" option on PyCharm.
