After spending almost 6 weeks in Italy, I learned A LOT. Here is a bit of history on the Italian lira The lira was backed by gold and silver for129 years. As the Italian Lira broke from the gold standard in 1936, the currency floated & debased for 66 years before the can got kicked down the road until 2002 with the Euro. Now, only 23 years under the Euro, the CBDC will take action in late 2025. 129 years ➡️ 66 years ➡️ 23 years ➡️?? I don’t think the CBDC will last longer than 5-10 years as the global takeover will collapse, the fourth turning will empower the Italians with #bitcoin & #nostr 1807 - Introduced 1861 - Official currency 1936 - Broke from the gold Standard 2002 - Lira replaced by the Euro (not backed by gold) October 2025 - Euro will be replaced by CBDC from the ECB 2030-2035 - Italians break from the CBDC and use Bitcoin
