I just checked in to Twitter and what are the first 3 tweets I see? Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Alex Jones I don't follow Elon Musk! I don't follow Donald Trump! I don't follow Alex Jones! What's the point of following people if you don't see the post from the people you follow and you see a bunch of posts from people you don't follow??? This isn't social media. This is just media. A social media platform is a dynamic community of people who decide who they want to follow and who they don't want to follow and who get kept up to date with the latest posts from the people they follow. At this point twitter is basically Elon Musk's personal blog with guest posts from Donald Trump and Alex Jones - with a follow and like function that does nothing and is basically window dressing. It's media masquerading as social media.
