DeepSeek is really one of the greatest accomplishments of the modern AI era. You must pay homage to the whale. I asked it to write a poem about JEPA, pixels and ambient. This is what it gave me: image

The simplest form of notetaking is art. Use the back of papers. Make it ugly. Just promise me you will make it real.

There is art that you make for keeps and art that you make to share with the world. Your donations help me make new art that I can share freely. So much of what I did in the past was for healings sake and private. Your donations are going to help me fund the future. buymeacoffee.com/nonyeomd

There are rumors OpenAl is secretly pursuing hardware embodiments for its Al. I want in. I believe that Al needs to take on TARS level form before normal people can see the vision.

Being an AI research artist is probably the most interesting job I have ever had. I spend all day coaxing my imagination into submission. I do this so that when bits become symbols my mind is ready to make the incredible leap towards ambient computing and beyond. image

I’m working on the vLLM user experience. I’m using computer vision techniques to understand the “context of consent”. The range of consensual “contexts” is represented by a range of angles considered “organic” and “desirable” by the user. Angles that the machine is most likely to label as “taken by the user and organic” or “taken by a third party and desireable”. A Thread 🧵 image

My father was a dentist who graduated from the USC Ostrow School of Dentistry in the 80’s. He chose to practice in South Central LA and had a love of computers. I spent many hours in the office with him. These are our moments. image

I was born on Stocker and Crenshaw Blvd, right across the street from the Crenshaw mall in 1987. My dad moved our family to Palos Verdes in 92’ after the neighborhood turned on us. But he refused to move his dental practice. image

I watched my father dedicate his best years to practicing general dentistry from Figueroa to Harvard and all the way to Crenshaw and back. So much of my childhood was lived driving down Manchester. My dad loves the hood, but the hood has not always loved us back. image

My dad took me everywhere with him. I was his right hand for all the Dental conferences and post office runs. I spent my whole life in private practice and was excited to continue the legacy as a Medical Doctor. But something was missing…

I found that I didn’t have a passion for healthcare disparities or being the token black doctor for a 3rd generation. I didn’t feel the love from the Black community I was supposed to dedicate my life to serving. I needed a way out and tech provided my exits.

In order to evolve beyond crabs in a barrel someone needs to invest in Black fathers—EXCLUSIVELY. They don’t need half of your investment. They need you to go all in on them. I wouldn’t be here without my Black father. He encouraged me to always choose me.

I am trying to create a vision for my future that accurately represents my childhood dreams and precisely accounts for the all of the imagery i need to be in the panoramic frame. Why am i so concerned with a perfect visual representation of my landscape? So what if i put alcatraz, the golden gate bridge and the painted ladies in the same frame as the trans America building. I am creating art. A rendering of the future I almost never had. image

Once you get the monkeys off your back lazy evals and functional programming start to make sense. Type II procrastination will no longer ruin your half baked plans toward mediocre recursive self improvement. Take notes. Believe in cursor.

When considering the safety of AI, I always reference blockchain technology because it helps ground my brain in this truth, “If a bunch of honest nodes have access to the best technology, even if we are behind, we should always still be “z” Mario blocks ahead.

My biggest challenge in product is knowing when to pull out digital tools and when to revert back to analog. Can you imagine trying to learn transformers without drawing any attention? Sometimes the pen tells truths that the cursor can’t catch. image
