Remember the Bitcoin crash from 2026? Yeah, remember when you sold too many coins to wall street too fast? Live with it.

When people say that Bitcoin is a "virtual currency" (instead of digital...) Well, if you're living in the EU you're living in a virtual democracy with a currency that only holds virtual value. You're better off with Bitcoin and if you're seeking democracy (or the freedom to live your life as you deem fit) you should consider moving.

In 2025 Steam has removed some titles from my library citing a change in German "age rating" law. Turns out that said law was passed before 2025 already and Steam seems to be breaking consumer laws protected under EU law with this approach. Hence, I'll be submitting this to Steam today and will update once I've received a response. Formal Request to Steam (Access Restoration / BGB §§ 327–327u) Subject: Request for Restoration of Access to Previously Purchased Digital Content (BGB §§ 327–327u) Dear Steam Support, I am contacting you regarding the removal or regional hiding of several games from my Steam library. These titles were legally purchased by me years before the recent changes to Steam’s implementation of German age-rating rules. Under German consumer law (BGB §§ 327–327u), providers of digital products are required to ensure continued usability and access to purchased digital content for a reasonable period of time, unless access restrictions were clearly agreed upon at the time of purchase. No such restriction was disclosed or agreed to when I purchased these titles. Because the affected games were fully accessible at the time of purchase and no legal obligation requires retroactive denial of access to adults, the removal constitutes a material change to the digital service. This represents a significant disadvantage to me as a consumer and is inconsistent with the statutory obligations under German law. I therefore request: Immediate restoration of access to all purchased titles that have been removed or hidden due to missing age ratings, or, if restoration is not possible, A specific explanation stating the exact legal requirement that prevents Steam from providing access to previously purchased content to an adult user in Germany. If this issue cannot be resolved, I will be escalating the matter to the European Consumer Centre (ECC Germany) in accordance with EU consumer dispute protocols.
