If you truly believe this one bank is an isolated malignancy on top of an otherwise healthy system, backstopping makes perfect sense. If this one bank is a symptom of a wider systemic malfunction, backstopping is the worst thing you can do. Janet Yellen and Bitcoiners (like me) seem to disagree about which situation we’re in. Seems like the misalignment of incentives could not possibly come faster or harder. Can has been kicked - larger problems incoming. Eventually.

mempool full with financial transactions is way better than a mempool full with jpegs. Am I wrong about this?

I enjoy talking to Bitcoiners for the same reason I enjoy talking to math nerds. The conversations are filled with highly technical puns that are used out of context for the sake of comedy. And then the best part - the nerdy chuckle at your own joke because you applied “mempool” to something unrelated to Bitcoin. *chef’s kiss*

So I went under for a minor surgery today. When I came to I checked the mempool and wasn’t exactly thrilled. You all couldn’t chill with the monkey jpegs while I was under anesthesia?!? 😔
