Me: Where should we go for our 33rd Anniversary? Her: Wouldn’t you rather buy more ₿ with what we’d spend instead? 🧡

On this day in 1999 #Queensryche released the album Q2k. While not a favorite of mine in the overall catalog of the band, it did give us this gem. 😎🤘 #music

On this day in 1984 #Queensryche released the album The Warning. Seems downright prophetic today. I hope some here enjoy. 😎

Spent the day with a wealthy friend. Tried to engage him in a chat about bitcoin, but the fiat world has treated him very, very well. He’s not ready. Instead of pushing it, we swam in his pool, had a bbq & ended the day as friends of 30 years. Like so many times before. Still a win in my book. image

I’ve been using Evernote as an archive of important docs, art projects my kids made that I didn’t want to physically keep, ancient family photos, etc. It’s time to self host this stuff, and I’d like to do it using my @Start9 Pro. I’d like to keep as much Evernote parity as possible (tags, folders, etc). I realize I could go to Start9’s Telegram channel and ask around, but I’d prefer to get a broader list of suggestions (and I really dislike using Telegram). The closest thing I can find on the official marketplace is NextCloud, which may or may not be awesome. Any suggestions from fellow Nostriches is appreciated. Migration is going to take some time. I was an early adopter of EN, and I have a ton of stuff to move…and I only want to do it once. 🙂

Bitcoin is hope. More people need it. If anyone here knows this dude please help him get a Nostr account so we can zap the hell out of him.

3:15 am & I’m wide awake. Been cutting down on caffeine drastically over the past 2 weeks. What the hell?

My friends & family will never be able to say I didn’t bring it to their attention. Taking it directly to their eyeballs. Can’t make them push play, but they’re gonna have direct links to the conversation. #PlantingSeeds image

On this day in 2003, #queensryche released the album "Tribe". The song "Rhythm of Hope" resonates with me as today as strongly as it did 20 years ago. I hope some that haven't heard it before will give it a spin. Lying here awake again. Minutes before dawn I hear your breathing, your heart beat like a song. Lately I've been feeling a little less then good but seeing things for the first time like I never could. I've had my head down against the door, trying to get to something I couldn't find before. That special something, that feeds my soul, is a rhythm to live by, it's a rhythm of hope. Something drives us onwards. Something gives us strength. What makes our judgment falter is the questions we think. Who am I to fly so high? What gives me the right to dream of what could be, keep reaching for the light? I've been standing in front of that door, basing my happiness on what' I knew before. Searching for something that moves my soul. A rhythm to hold to, a rhythm to live to. Have you been down like this before? I guarantee there's something waiting for you just open that door. A rhythm to live by, that moves your soul. A rhythm that holds you. A rhythm to live to. And if there's one thing we all need now, it's a rhythm to live by, a rhythm of hope. Lying here awake again...

I really enjoyed the recent WBD interview with @ODELL . My thinking aligns with Matt most of the time, but @Peter McCormack ‘s argument that most normies won't move (at least not yet) to Nostr is valid. Take away the current clunkiness (which will be overcome in time), and they’re still left with a protocol where their real life family, friends & coworkers don’t hang out. Most here see the dystopian future approaching, and we’re grateful for those that build, but we’re the outliers in our social groups. We may be correct in understanding why Nostr is important, but it can be a little lonely. Getting normie friends & family to join in conversation here against the pull of Instagram (more so than Twitter with most of my people) is a very tall order. I appreciate all who build. I’m grateful for your commitment to the sovereign individual. As you build, those of us without that talent should continue to show our own circles what’s happening here. Perhaps one day soon the light bulb will go on for them.
