NOSTR is going to be interesting since we've never had something decentralized get mainstream. Right now it seems like the cute innocent days of facebook or twitter; largely polite, pleasant banter, no big arguments or feuds...
But what does it look like when the masses come on over? Can they ever adapt to platform not oriented towards outrage porn? To many, the drama has become central to their online identity.
This is going to be interesting to watch...

This will be the first year I won't be giving out silver dollars as Christmas gifts to family. Instead they will be getting bitcoin.

bitcoin either wins aggresively, or it loses completely. Even if it just stagnates around a certain high price, that means it loses.
The best thing about Bitcoin is that time will sooner than later vindicate you.
That's the most satisfying aspect of bitcoin. Even the most articulate skeptic or advocate of bitcoin gets to be proven right/wrong over time.
Re: DOGE, @Jeff Booth brought up an excellent point (as always) regarding the impossibility of any serious cuts to budget. Any significant savings WILL be spent elsewhere- immediately. Best we can hope for is more "efficient" spending, but how does that fix the problem?
