The problem with nostr is the same as with all social media sites: network effects. Despite despising Twitter, it still has more users, and thus, it still has more interesting users posting in the platform. Thus, even though twitter is shit, you’ll find more stuff there that provides you with value. I would have guessed that Bitcoiners out of al cohorts would get it the most, but it seems like we are none the wiser. That said, out of all other platforms, due to Nostr’s strong value prop and thanks to Bitcoin’s jumpstart, Nostr still has a fighting chance, but it’ll have to be 1 Nostrich at a time. And for that, I want to shout out my man @Garrettstr 🌸 for the awesome in-person 1-on-1 Nostr-on-boarding work I’ve seen him do over the past few weeks.
