TSA and the airlines are sneaking more facial recognition in every month and it’s super insidious. Gross we never voted on this, it’s never announced and it’s framed as mandatory / expected even though you can opt out.

First time using Waymo in SF this week.
Kind of cool experience. Relaxing having no one else in the car. Clean and well kept. Surprised that from the first moment I trusted it and am never nervous.
Biggest downside: typically adding ~30% extra trip time because driving so cautiously and taking poor routes.
Coming back to San Francisco as one of the rare kids to be born and raised here is always an intense mix of nostalgia and deep loss.
It didn’t have to be this way. It doesn’t have to be a failed city.
