Similarities between Fractional reserve banking and a Ponzi scheme:
1) Both fractional reserve banking and Ponzi schemes involve using funds from one source to generate returns.
2) In both cases, there is a potential risk of insolvency if there is a sudden withdrawal of funds or a lack of new investors.
3) Both involve the use of leverage, i.e: using borrowed funds to invest or lend out.

People who work at Credit Suisse wouldn't put their money in Credit Suisse, so that says it all.
Although to be fair, I think that's true of almost every bank in the world.
