As a developer, can I purple pill people with a client that I don’t contribute to?
At the restaurant, 2 ladies asked me to join their table and we started a great conversation. They asked me what I did and I explained that I worked on a social/chat kind of application. But the one I am working on is not a social media per say and not really for individuals. If I
purple pill them with Damus, it feels kinda like I am lying or taking credit.
@jb55 what’s your take on it?
hi
Traveling broadens your views.
Lime, the San Francisco shared scooter company can also be found in Lisbon.
To be honest, these kind of services is not that innovative and that’s why we can see which country has its own companies doing pretty much the same App. It’s mostly about can you convince the local government to allow you to put scooters/bikes
It’s an operational business, not technological business.
It’s always some random dudes in Silicon Valley do it first. Then Europeans copy it.
Shit, I am not gay, but he’s so cool!
Here is my proposal for a 30 minutes talk about a better way to develop Nostr softwares in general, contrary to mainstream nostr believes.
“Nostr Native” vs “Nostr Integrated”
Nostr Native is applications that builds 95%+ features with Nostr relays only.
Nostr Integrated is applications that builds its own system and only integrate with Nostr for parts that make sense.
I will use case studies such as @Geyser @Alby, zap.stream by @Kieran as “Nostr Integrated” applications and most other Nostr clients as “Nostr Native” applications.
I will argue that “Nostr Integrated” is the better way build applications.
I will then dive deep into how blowater.app transform from “Nostr Native” to “Nostr Integrated” and promote a little bit about my new project
at the very end.
Please vote for me!
I believe this talk will be very insightful for developers and users.

A female user driven client is the most overlooked thing in Nostr.
I’m not saying this to be politically correct. I am saying this with real business values.
Females spend most in online shopping. Fashions, makeups are naturally shareable on social media.
Men don’t spend shit. I spend like 1% of my income to buy cloths every month because I don’t even buy cloths every month.
If you want a sustainable profitable business, make female users happy
Crazy idea, we can build a egui + tauri hybrid application that has the best of both native and web.

Milet is my favorite new generation singer IN THE WORLD!
This is the magic a great artist can install to you: I am not a good singer at all, but I dreamed of performing alongside with her just now. Am I crazy? It must be so fun to sing with them!
I delete Nostr on my phone and kill my Nostr addiction. Now, I unconciously pick up my phone and find something missing. My soul is hollow
3 things I have to do everyday to keep me sane.
1. Workout
2. Singing
3. Coding
4. Writing
In that order despite I being a horrible singer.

Is there a working Rust nostr client lib? Or do I have to implement on my own? nostr-sdk has weird API that I don't want to use.
@jb55 Why do you choose
over other websocket libs? Is it because it's from the author of egui?
After seeing your notedeck, I want to explore native dev with Rust again.
