Fetching Bitcoin transactions from my (slow) testnet node with #UtxoPocket brand new refactored backend.

Developing using Umbrel on a Pi is a headache, I should buy a NUC or something dedicated for testnet developing purposes.

I have so many ideas of things I would like to do (besides UtxoPocket) about Bitcoin that I feel overheated. For me, achieving financial freedom would equate to being able to have time to do all of these things. For now, good morning, just back in the office 🥲.

New update #UtxoPocket: -Import BIP-329 labels in .jsonl format (JSON lines format), this is the same format in which they are exported from Sparrow Wallet. -Improved utxo comparison: enable multi-selection and press enter or the eye icon to display the new improved utxo comparison table and its properties. -Substitution of utxos status icons by emojis, I think they look better visually. Also I could not use the icons to show them in the utxos comparator bar chart. I decided to make the change for visual consistency and use the same in the comparator and wallet view. -Change from Arrays to Maps to store the utxos, this should significantly improve performance in wallets with a large number of utxos. Array searches are linear, so you have to traverse the entire array to find the item you are looking for, this is much more efficient using Maps as you access the item as if it were an object. Plus some other advantages. In the screenshots you can see a testnet wallet fetched from my node in which the labels have been successfully imported from Sparrow. In addition to the improved utxos comparator and the import option in the Settings page. ----- I will try to make the next thing multi account and improve the wallet stats display. New #UtxoPocket update: -Utxos with address reuse are now blocked by default, like change utxos. -Extend functionality of BIP-329 (labels). Now, in addition to utxos, transactions can be labeled and can be exported in a json file with the standard format from Settings -> Advanced -> Export Labels. -Performance improvements and simplification of the backend code. -Improved feedback during connection process and connection snackbar behavior. -Fix: redirect from empty state to wallet when at least 1 utxo has been found. -Fix: transactions not showing the date. Next thing will be multi account. I mean, add multiple wallets and select which one you want to manage and visualize. Also import BIP-329 from other wallets, export was the easy part 😃.

Frostpunk 2 doesn't run on my pc so I played a couple of games of AoE II, favorite dame ever. Until I have a new computer... Developing must go on.

I've been obsessed with the development of #UtxoPocket for so many weeks that I had overlooked the release of Frostpunk 2, a game I've been waiting for months. I'm going to slow down the pace of development of UtxoPocket for 2 or 3 weeks, it will be good for me to come back with renewed ideas. Besides, I feel like playing a bit of Frostpunk. Although if it disappoints me, I'll continue developing tomorrow 😂.

New #UtxoPocket update, test it on https://utxopocket.devsigner.xyz (desktop only). -Get and expose the script type of each utxo. -Significant improvements in user experience and interface. -Update dependencies. Improved inspection mode: Activate it by pressing the “i” key or the magnifying glass icon, the utxos will turn blue. By hovering the mouse over each utxo you will see all its details. Utxo selection algorithm: Refactored and with privacy selection options (enabled by default) that you will see as chips next to the utxo selection slider: -Do not select blocked utxos -Do not select utxos with different script type. -Do not select change utxos. -Do not select utxos with address reuse. Compare several selected utxos: Activate the multiselect mode (by pressing the “m” key or on the toolbar icon) and select several utxos, click on the eye icon and compare them. Right now I think the selection algorithm is a very powerful tool. Use the buttons or the slider to select utxos choosing between different criteria and options. Join Telegram group for more updates.
