What a day!! @RUNSTR #stackstrides #teamorange
Sorry for long message.
What a fun race this was. It was very tough and I went out to hard on the many uphills in the first part of the race. The race was basically up on a plateau, run around and then back down.
Up on the plateau (after 3-4km) it was all about surviving, trying to calm down a little to have something left. I managed to do that quite well.
In the second half I teamed up with a new friend who had been at my back since the second km. We pushed and helped each other on until we started going down again (21km).
A guy flew by and I felt that I had to follow him. Now the race was on. He was pushing on the down and I just kept up. Then with less then 1km left I passed him on an uphill (barley passed him…😅). He followed me but I did get away in the last hundred meters.
So I ended up in fifth place.. wow! I would never have thought… I literally thought a time like this on a train race was impossible.
And I feel like I can improve a ton. Very happy and thankful, considering the last quarter of 2025, I was very sick.. and that my best 10km run at that point was 1hr 30min.
Let’s build!!
Also, thanks for the support on here. I’ve been very inspired by the notriches! 🙏💪🤙⚡️
