My day trip 🌳🍄‍🟫

“As long as you’re identified & we give you permission - you’re good to go” Yesterday I joined the Federal Reserve Fintech conference (live streamed), to witness the “public private partnership” around money & finance, and I have many insights, most I won’t share here. But I will share this: The new monetary order is here. The reset had started around 2019, and we’re now deep into the implementation stage. The next couple of years are going to be critical for the world’ financial order and monetary systems. My presentations over the last 3 years about the monetary order change from “normal” fiat to fiat on steroids - digital, highly surveilled & enforceable - couldn’t be more accurate. Some insights: • The plumbing is being set up as we speak. Existing crypto rails are the infrastructure for much of it. • Tokenization is accelerated in order to get “more” out of assets, and trade/move them easily. Everyone’s onboard, everything is centralized, hardly anyone challenges anything meaningful. • Fintech & crypto speakers yesterday were quite careful about how they named the industry sector they belong to and “blockchain” seemed to be the preferred name. I even heard a speaker apologising for mistakenly calling it “crypto”. I have a lot to say about that observation (More on this in the future). • The crypto & fintech bros are getting what they wanted (or paid for during election campaign). They’re joining forces with central banks, tradfi and government agencies - to usher in the fully identifiable, permissioned reality. Some of the bros: It will be fascinating to continue watching the new monetary order being shaped up.
