Node runner, bitcoin changed everything. Phd statistics, butcher, anti-globalist.
I’ve used nothing but compost/worm castings tea in my garden for almost 3 years, and my garden looks better than ever! A few scoops of compost and/or worm castings in a 5-gallon bucket, fill with water, add sugar, aerate for 24-48 hours. Water into your garden. You can also use it as a foliar spray. Optional ingredients: epsom salt, kelp, fish emulsion, among others. Simple preparations of just compost and sugar have worked just great for me! image
Gm #bitcoin #nostr Please shill me some new accounts to follow! I’m looking for active bitcoiners, permaculture or regenerative agriculture people, and cattle ranchers. Or anybody else that you think is worth a follow!
I harvested a steer for a local farmer today. The quarters came out over 200 lbs each, so decent size, albeit not massive by any means. It was a clean kill and a clean job. My back is sore and my face is smiling.
I was sick of seeing guys in dresses and warmongering politicians so I’m back on Nostr and off Twitter for the day.
I had a good day on a farm kill job. The women who run the nearly 1-square-mile farm wanted to dispatch the animal themselves before I arrived. More typically, the farmer or owner will have me kill the animals. Some like to be there, some don’t. I can respect that some would want to do the kill: they raised the animals and cared for them their whole lives and I think they don’t feel comfortable giving the responsibility to somebody else. If you commit to taking the shot, you have to follow through with whatever happens from that moment on.
Am I tripping or did Lyn Alden make like half a bitcoin off one of her posts a couple days ago?
Wow, so I just received my first sat using Nostr tips. And then two more sats. I was already impressed with lightning, and I use it often, but this is next level!
Could somebody try to zap me a couple sats to test out my lightning tip button? 🙏 🙏
I want to try to post something everyday. I like #nostr a lot so far, and I want it to succeed! The feed is very different from Twitter, but I like Nostr even more. For one, Nostr is more lighthearted. I see much less political content, and I see no fights or murders. I don’t like seeing those things and I actively block or mute people posting such content to Twitter, but yet it still pervades my feed. Maybe I just haven’t followed enough people yet, but I’m going slow and making sure I only follow people who are actively posting for now.
This is my third or fourth attempt at getting on #nostr. The user experience is significantly improved compared to my first attempt, the app noticing less glitchy. This is the first time I notice that we are making traction with building a community, interesting content and feeds, interactions between people (and bots). This has a ton of momentum, you can feel that. It’s achieved a remarkable level of success already.
Good morning #bitcoin #nostr! I’m still here! Heading out to help a farmer friend harvest a couple hundred quail. I met him through his CSA (community supported agriculture) group which he started during lockdown when his regular restaurant business slowed. When I first showed up on his farm he showed me around and poured me and my brother a beer from his home brew setup. It turns out, he has a PhD in biology. He didn’t like the field work he got with the state, doing surveys, monitoring construction sites, so he and his wife started a business raising animals for meat. He taught me a lot about how to slaughter animals. I just asked, and he obliged. But I always showed up, and I worked for free, or in exchange for the education. Now, I still volunteer, but I get my monthly CSA box for free 😁 and he filters me so much business! He got me two jobs just next week, farm kills: a pig and a steer. And I get to be one of the people that does the dirty work for everybody else in the CSA. The animals belong to all of the members, it’s important to them how they are raised, treated, fed, and killed. I take the responsibility seriously. The work is dirty, and killing animals is unpleasant, but it’s rewarding. I thank God for the sacrifice, and someday we all will be consumed by other organisms too; so it goes - life feeds on life! The process of death and decay cannot be disrupted! And it is beautiful! Time for a morning coffee. God bless you!
Back in the day when I tried to trade bitcoin, I thought I was a genius because I got lucky. Trading from my phone while bouncing around South America with nothing but a backpack and a nylon-string guitar I bought for 270 Reals in Brasil. Just getting drunk and making out with Argentinian and Brazilian girls covered in glitter at carnaval bloquinhos along Ipanema Beach with the private keys to $100,000 worth of bitcoin and shitcoins scrawled on a discrete corner of a page in my journal tucked in a pocket of my shitty ripped backpack. I’m surprised I made it back sometimes.
