Help! In light of recent events (Core vs Knots), I pulled out my copy of The Blocksize War by Jonathan Bier. He makes repeated references to the "end users" as the powers who decide the rules for Bitcoin. End users are clearly not miners, but are the node runners or wallet users?

Why yes, I did just make the switch from Bitcoin Core to Knots. Feels like spring cleaning the blockchain.

If you want to put arbitrary data on a blockchain, just use (or create) a blockchain for that purpose and let Bitcoin be "peer to peer electronic cash." Is it that no one would use or support that other blockchain? Then you wish to co-opt Bitcoin's blockchain. Which is to say, steal it.

Congratulations to my students Casey and Noah for this research poster on how high heels alter muscle activity in the leg. We used EMG to compare muscle activity in the soleus, gastrocnemius, and tibialis anterior muscles when walking in 3-inch heels vs barefoot. Also, the footprints are from two identical female twins, one who wears heels frequently and the other reportedly never wears heels. Guess which is which.

You want to know far the federal government has strayed from its original mission? When considering an action by the government ask: Is this a domestic affair or a foreign affair? If foreign (eg, trade, treaties, war & peace), it is the job of the federal govt. If domestic, it is not. Most of what the federal govt is doing today is domestic, which is the proper job of the States. Social security, DOE, EPA, FDA, IRS, and the perverted, inward-facing actions of the FBI, and CIA are just a few examples. The intrusion of the federal govt into domestic affairs began in earnest after 1913 with the creation of the income tax and central bank. States acquiesced their sovereignty to gain access to the money. To preserve the Union, we MUST end the Federal Reserve and repeal the 16th (and 17th) amendments. GM frens.
