The UK isn't the US. It doesn't have the same free speech laws. They're close but not the same.
This fella broke the law as defined in the "Public Order Act 1986"
"A person who publishes or distributes written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting is guilty of an offence if—
(a)he intends thereby to stir up racial hatred, or
(b)having regard to all the circumstances racial hatred is likely to be stirred up thereby."
This narrative coming from the US reminds me of people outside the US saying that private ownership of guns shouldn't be allowed. Different societies and cultures have different rules.
This plays right into the hands of Trump, Musk et al.
The UK isn't a dystopian failed state despite what your local friendly influencer says.
