Part of me is now wondering whether the filing Plaintiffs were always the original owner of these coins and they are trying to wash them to legally sever any relationship the UTXOs have with illicit coins.
In fact, this is my primary theory for now. This person may be trying to clean these coins by pretending he found them. I don’t know this, so dont come at me Plaintiff lawyers, it’s just a hypothesis.

I wish I knew someone that thinks they own some of this bitcoin. It’s been moved around and shuffled so much there’s something strange going on here.

It looks like he did a bunch of weird transactions beyond the OP_RETURN legal notices that looks intended to obfuscate the wallets.
There are millions of dollars of BTC in these wallets.
This is very strange to me.

This complaint is full of shit:
>Accordingly, digital wallets that
are inactive or dormant for five years or longer are highly likely to have been abandoned.
Im trying to get to the how he found the wallets part and what that really means, but Im perfectly comfortable with people getting legal declarations for lost property. I am concerned with what the efforts were to ID the previous owners.
Maybe the complaint explains later, but conceivably you could subpoena exchanges and asking if they have any information about whether the receiving addresses were sent to from their exchange which could ID the owner so the property could be returned.

@Alby is it possible to do coincontrol or to just view UTXOs related to the onchain balance in AlbyHub?
I took my son on a nature walk yesterday. We found the blackberry bushes that the HOA whacked down a while back, but they are coming back like hold my beer, and we managed to find one nice ripe berry. My son loved it. I got a sold “mmm” out of him when he ate it.
It was a great evening.
