If you created a simulation with conscious entities populating your universe... what would be the purpose? What would you have them do and why? Maybe it's all for research. Just to see if they could. Maybe it's an escape. Entertainment?

Every decision my cat makes is based purely on whether or not, in this very moment, a course of action she could take may or may not feel good. She thinks very little about these decisions and acts on instinct, I believe. In a way its the ultimate intelligence. We spend our whole lives contemplating repercussions, calculating outcomes only to miss the moment. Eventually, we may work out, logically of course, that acting immediately with pure self-interst would indeed have provided the best outcome.

A buddy told me about a social media group he was part of (a long time ago). They had software that would listen to what music you played on your computer and then suggest friends based on similar musical interests. Dude told me he met 5 of them in person eventually and they remain friends today. Seems like this could be done on nostr without the 'listening' part. Like, if there was a client where users post playlists and receive follow suggestions.
