Another fav. You're welcome.
I saw the Flecktones in Sac in the 90s. The show ended with a huge Victor Wooten bass solo. I stood in front of the stage and danced like a mad man.
He broke a bass string on his final note and he ripped it of his bass and handed it to me.
I gifted it to a friend of mine who is also an excellent bass player. He made a necklace out of it and wore it for years.
Not sure what happened to it, or him.
C'est la vie. Enjoy!

Abhorrent to the uniform, anathema to the mundane. The words contained in this repository will astound!
This may be my favorite song of all time. I imagine not many will agree with my taste.
Gm fuckers. Let the fuckery commence.

Got me a cymbal attached to the air vent in my car. Solid. 5 stars.
5, 7, 5 is boring after writing 4 or 5 haikus. I think it's completely arbitrary, has little to do with the original artform and disregards important context, like seasonality.

Love this one.

A diminished moon
may cause the tide to recede
but my love remains
Like an autumn leaf
I fall from the grace of God
only to return
As the ice hardens
on the edge of my cold heart
I suffer alone
My path lit by Ra
seven hundred miles were cut
through the desert heat
Near the broken coast
within a redwood forest
the sorrel blooms first
