Anyone using Apache Kafka for Nostr events? I'm looking at Redis myself as a simple queue. Not sure if I need Bull or not for this yet

Scrambling around to find a Nostr client that works today for some reason. When a dev has trouble using an app, it isn't a good sign for your average user

People on Mastodon are going nuts because ChatGPT said it was unethical for an older woman to date a younger adult man. It's a computer folks.

When I think of the amount of time and effort I've spent on personal and professional products to integrate with Twitter and Facebook I'm almost embarrassed. In a short time that (or really a long time) that has gone from being essential business to ludicrous.

The printing press, radio and television were the tools of moderation and were only in the hands of the few. Anything that intends to put moderation back in the hands of "the few" is antithetical to the spirit of a user empowered network.

At the pace with which the Javascript world has changed over the years one would think it would be so much better than programming in any other language #javascript #programming

I'm sure engagement is low on links everywhere, Nostr, Mastodon and Twitter etc. included. But it's not fair to say "People don't click links." If I were to guess I'd say 30% of what I read is in Social streams, 30% of what I read comes from search results and 30% of what I read comes from links in social. Fake numbers but I read a lot from social links. That's all I'm saying. #twitter #x #links #mastodon #nostr

I've set up a node project - Installed NDK - Looks fine on the server side. Can interact with relays etc. - I installed webpack and the config is pretty basic const path = require('path'); module.exports = { target: 'web', mode: 'production', entry: './src/index.js', output: { path: path.resolve(__dirname, 'dist'), filename: 'bundle.js' } }; I have an entry file like this: import NDK, { NDKNip07Signer, NDKEvent } from "@nostr-dev-kit/ndk"; - npx webpack successfully creates the bundle (I see refs to NDK in the bundle) - In a web page I see the bundle being served successfully - When I try to instantiate in the browser, the console reads : Uncaught ReferenceError: NDK is not defined I know it's my setup, not the NDK, but I don't work with JS like this often. #nostrdev #asknostr
