So fucking bullish on Nostr after listening to @Guy Swann read on Bitcoin audible of @Lyn Alden article “The Power of Nostr”. Payment discovery is something I’ve thought about but never in a detailed manner. Being able to pay someone without their permission is truly an innovation that mankind has never seen before. Even in money’s basic form of cash or gold coins, to pay someone they had to physically take the money you were handing them, thereby giving their permission for the payment. I’m sure everyone has had the high friction experience of trying to give someone money and that person refuses to stick out their hand to accept the payment out of pride, stubbornness, laziness or whatever other reason. To think that a technology now exists to eliminate this high friction interaction is just another reason to be incredibly excited and hopeful for the future.
