Can someone help me... why does paying for relays improve my Nostr experience? I still see posts from everyone I follow on the global relays correct?

I can't help but think forward anytime something new like Nostr comes out. If Nostr continues to rise in popularity, what other applications will be built using the protocol? some examples I can think of off the top of my head: - Video streaming service (Decentralized YouTube) - Tutoring/educational/coding support apps (Similar to Chegg.com/stackoverflow) Other Ideas?

I'm pretty new to exactly how Nostr works but what would a nostr-like YouTube look like? Is this feasible? How beneficial would this be? Could a video subscription service type client be done on the Nostr protocol already?
