Yesterday, everybody talked about the guy who paid 10000 bitcoin for two pizzas and how much he spent in today's money. But he did exactly the right thing. He gave gratitude to the one receiving the 10000 and he used bitcoin as money. Now let's look at the one on the receiving end. Imagine him as a merchant being paid for his work with bitcoin. If he kept all that he didn't need to use for ingredients and expenses, he would be wealthy now just from ONE purchase. You as a merchant can be him ... image

Bitcoin is, to me, a community project. Not everyone sees it that way, and I sometimes find it amusing to discuss it with a colleague. When I tell him I run a node, he asks how much money I make. I tell him I do it for the benefit of everyone. When I mention that I run my own miner, he asks the same question, and I give the same answer: I do it to help secure the network for all. Later, when I say I’m trying to get more shops to accept Bitcoin, he again asks how much money I make. And again, I tell him it’s for the benefit of everyone. From his perspective, I may not be making money at all. But in reality, I’m helping to keep Bitcoin decentralized and secure. I’m creating value for everyone, including him and myself. As merchant adoption grows, so will Bitcoin adoption. In that sense, there is no real competition: by helping others, we all increase our own purchasing power. Together, we are building a more peaceful world. I believe wars are funded by money printers that quietly transfer value from everyone living under fiat money without their consent. A community built on sound money offers a better path: one that supports peace and brings out the best in us. I might be wrong, and perhaps my colleague is right—but this is how I currently see Bitcoin.

I attended a talk about generating yield from Bitcoin. The speaker presented different options and risks, such as using Bitcoin native scripts on Taproot with timelock and multisig, as well as wrapped Bitcoin and other tokens, to increase returns. To me, this felt like the paradigm of the number six on the ground. From an inflationary fiat perspective, one needs to do something with idle money. However, from the perspective of sound money, I see a nine, as I know that Bitcoin will appreciate over time. Fiat is right - Bitcoin is right 👍 image
