Homestead update for this week. I am still at home for sick leave and will be for next week as well. So I finaly have time to start making food stocks for winter.
We have 2 wild apple trees so I dry some apple. I also gave my friend some apples for horses as well. But we still have plenty of them. ๐ I also offer it for free but nobody wanted them.
From plums I made chutney for meat. Spicy one.
This year we also have tiny garlic and onion. And they are both pretty strong in taste. ๐ช
Next week I will continue with apples (maybe make compot or strudel as well), plums (compot and dry one) and I also need to make broth and do something with pumpkin and carrots. I am really enjoying this ๐

At least once per week we eat fish (wild salmon or sardine). Today we had grilled sardines with rosmary from garden.
Our last broiler chicken - this time grilled one. But we prefer baken one.
Usualy we have scrambled eggs for breakfast ๐ฅ
What cannot be missing is slowly cooked beef. This time we ate it with baked pumpkin and it was delicious ๐คค
And of course at least one steak per week is must have.

My friend took care of chickens while we were in hospital. And our chicks decided to lay eggs everywhere but not in the chickens coo, so now my husband is collecting them around the garden.
Fruit from the garden is great for recovery ๐คค




The zucchini is great when you fill it with ham, cheese, egg and bake it ๐คค
