Bitcoin cracks me up sometimes.. One minute people are worried that Bitcoin is going to zero because they're looking at today's price compared to what they paid. The next minute they're worrying about the tax bill they'll owe when Bitcoin reaches millions because they bought KYC coins. Our minds are good at living in imaginary futures, both bullish and bearish. The best thing we can do is breathe deeply, stay present, keep learning, and remember why we got into Bitcoin in the first place. The future will take care of itself. πŸŒΏβ‚Ώ

A simple observation... This supermarket has just installed a bottle and can return machine that pays people for recycling. Before this, many recyclable items still ended up in general waste, despite years of campaigns encouraging people to recycle. Now there's a direct economic incentive, and suddenly people are returning bottles and cans properly. It's a reminder that incentives matter. Love, compassion and community are essential, but a complex civilisation also depends on economic incentives that encourage cooperation between millions of people who don't know each other. That's why money matters. And that's why the quality of our money matters even more. Bitcoin isn't valuable simply because it's digital. It's valuable because it aligns incentives around scarcity, responsibility and long-term thinking, while allowing people to preserve the value of their time and energy. Human flourishing needs both: love to guide our values, and sound money to align our incentives. The two are not opposites -they're complementary. image

Marcus Aurelius wrote his private journals, which eventually became Meditations, one of the most influential books ever written. I've spent the last few years writing my own collection of notes, insights, and completely unhinged ramblings many of them inspired by psychedelics, Bitcoin, and long periods of staring into the void. I can't promise they'll become a bestseller, but if anyone ever gets hold of them, there's a reasonable chance they'll be entertained. Worst case: confusion. Best case: wisdom. Time will tell.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Solstice tomorrow. β˜€οΈLong before clocks, calendars, and screens, our ancestors watched the skies. They gathered together on this day to honour the Sun, celebrate the abundance of life, and give thanks for another season of growth. The Solstice is a reminder that we are part of something much older and much greater than ourselves. Every breath we take, every meal we eat, every path we walk has been made possible by countless generations who came before us and by the Earth that continues to sustain us. Tomorrow's solstice is an opportunity to pause for a moment. To watch a sunrise or sunset. To feel the ground beneath your feet. To give thanks for being healthy and alive. To remember those who came before you. To appreciate the people you love. To reflect on what you have cultivated this year and what you wish to grow in the months ahead. The Sun reaches its highest point, and then begins its return. The lesson is timeless: all things move in cycles - including Bitcoin!. Growth and rest. Light and shadow. Beginning and ending. May we meet each season with gratitude, humility, and wonder. Happy Solstice. β˜€οΈπŸŒ image
