These core guys really cannot comprehend that nodes matter way more than everything else. Without 24,000 nodes your protocol is just another trustless shitcoin. You already lost 20% of the nodes. How many node runners have you heard say "yeah im not upgrading to v30, im just gonna run v29, v28.1, etc"? How many will upgrade to knots or core v30 when forced to choose? Because a split network will essentially force these nodes to decide what side they are on.
