Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. I'm good at making disparate systems talk to each other. * Zaps powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjyg76vulm * On-chain powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp *Always Buy the Dip* #privacy #security #linux #Android #networkengineer #infosec #SimpleX #dogs #cats #pets #cooking

I'm not generally a fan of Mike Pence, but his writing on the Presidency is both prescient and insightful. Worth reading regardless of your beliefs or ideology. "The president is not our teacher, our tutor, our guide or ruler. He does not command us; we command him. We serve neither him nor his vision. It is not his job or his prerogative to redefine custom, law, and beliefs; to appropriate industries; to seize the country, as it were, by the shoulders or by the throat so as to impose by force of theatrical charisma his justice upon 300 million others. It is neither his job nor his prerogative to shift the power of decision away from them, and to him and the acolytes of his choosing."

I did a trial of @Rigly's pool mining today. It was 1000 sats for 3hrs of 120TH/s hash power using the Braiins pool. It was easy to sign up, pay the invoice, and begin hashing. I was able to monitor my workers the whole time with the hash rate fluctuating between 105TH/s and 120TH/s. I made 595 sats over my 3 hours. As well as it all worked, I'm a little confused as to why I would pay for larger hash contracts given that my return on a 1000 sat investment was 595 sats. I'd effectively be paying to receive about 50% of the expense. That doesn't make sense to me. Am I missing something? #musings
