Since the 1957 Civil Rights Act, the DOJ's Civil Rights Division has traditionally enforced federal laws protecting equal rights and defending the right to vote. Now, under Trump and AG Pam Bondi, it is being directed to undermine civil rights, and look for opportunities to go after companies who maintain DEI policies, and protect the rights of their employees.

I just moved my ID and all my various cards into my new wallet. I feel like a new man! My old wallet, which I've had for about 5 years, was the size of a brick; the product of cards and papers accumulating over the years. The new one is normal, and handsome. It's only got my essentials, having left all the old stuff in the old wallet. It'll sit in my nightstand until the end of time just in case I someday need one of the old cards, receipts, or other detritus. I'm feeling lighter. 🤗 #musings

My lifelong fear of swimming in the ocean is rational, and well-founded. I read about some horrific shark attack at least once a year, most taking place in Australia where it's apparently a national past-time to swim with Great Whites, and other death machines. Not me. I like the beach, and I like boats, but you will never catch me swimming in the ocean. Nope. 🦈
