Hello #noster community! Still kind of new here my name is Ben, I’m an artist from Berlin and a total nontech guy. Kind of a normie in the Nostr space if that’s even possible. As an artist, I’ve felt violated by platforms like Facebook and Instagram. You have to use them, but they suck the soul out of the process. Nostr feels like the first place where I can just post freely without the algorithm. But let’s talk about #zaps For some reason, I wasn’t able to zap for weeks. I didn’t realize that my @Alby subscription was draining my sats. I couldn’t zap on Damus, and I didn’t set up a wallet on Primal because I wasn’t ready to make another one. I have no other client yet. End result? I wasn’t zapping at all. And honestly, that’s no fun. Even worse It misses the whole point. Zapping is the heartbeat here connection and feedback ins sats Glad I sorted it now. Feels good to be back.

Fiat noise at its best

My node was offline for a few months I’m not a super tech nerd, so I just restarted the whole thing and synchronized everything from the first block again. There was a slight feeling of being uncomfortable without having a node running at home. Like a duty, I’m not taking care of. Of course, I know there’s the love of others verifying… But the feeling of self empowerment has become something important. And if the node isn’t working, life feels like something is off.

Finally made it to a bitcoin meet up in Berlin after being more than five years invested and three years in the rabbithole It was a good to hang out with people who actually understand my emotions, my thought processes, where I don’t have to explain the very basics and we can just speak with the same understanding I will do that more often now Thanks to @club21 for the chat in the end
