Now it has happened! Today one of our devs was paid in #Bitcoin for a project of a pleb. I helped him install a wallet so that he could receive the payment. Last week I had a meeting with our dev team. Today one of the Backend Engineers reached out telling me that he looked into the code and that he was surprised how easy it is to install. He was such impressed that he installed it already. It all started in 2014! Before I came across #Bitcoin, I noticed a dissatisfaction within me. I secretly realized how I had become a victim of the system, running faster and faster on the hamster wheel to please others. True to the motto: If you've got something, you're something. Today I am ashamed of this lifestyle, because not only was I harming myself, but also people I loved. My morals and conscience became numb. I only realized this feeling of dissatisfaction when I reached a very low point in my life. I guess you have to suffer to change your mindset. I started to reflect on my life. Writing down things I wanted to change. Along the way, I came across Bitcoin in 2016, even though I had heard about it very early on, but this time everything was different because I was no longer in the bubble like before. I discovered the entrance of the Bitcoin Rabbithole. Until 2018 Bearmarket, I only had a little bit of "play money" invested, but even though the price crashed, I dug deeper and deeper, because it seemed to me that those who held knew something I didn't know. YouTube videos and forum posts became books. Thanks to the German edition of the Bitcoin Standard, I understood more and the more I read, the more my doubts disappeared. When I look back now and think about the difficult times, I'm glad that everything turned out the way it did. It shook me awake and made me steer my life in a new direction. Bitcoin and all the plebs I met along the way gave me a mega boost. I was able to learn so much, close friendships were formed, there was a lot of laughter and yes, there were also emotional moments. Today, I can say, I am super grateful for every experience and every person I met in my life. Thank you all! 🧡
